Advanced Soccer Program
The Advanced Soccer Program is designed for players who wish to remain in recreational soccer while competing at a higher level. CSL Advanced teams participate in the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League (TASL), facing other advanced teams from local soccer organizations. Teams typically play eight Saturday games per season.
Games are held throughout the Tidewater region. Depending on the division, the farthest travel locations may include Elizabeth City and Williamsburg. Advanced soccer offers players an excellent introduction to competitive play and helps them further develop their technical skills, game understanding, and confidence. It can also serve as a stepping-stone toward Travel/Select Soccer.
Travel/Select Soccer Program
The Travel/Select Soccer Program is designed for players seeking a higher level of competitive play beyond the recreational and advanced levels. CSL Travel teams complete in National Premier Leagues (NPL), facing travel-level opponents from clubs across the local region, Northern Virginia, and Northeastern North Carolina. Teams typically play up to 8 weekend games each season. Travel soccer offers players a challenging competitive environment and supports their continued development in technical skill, tactical understanding, and overall game performance.
Team Selection & Seasonal Structure
Advanced and Travel teams are selected for a full soccer year, which includes both the Fall and Spring seasons.
