We're All Volunteers!

CSL’s all-volunteer Board of Directors is made up of CSL parents and members of the community who bring different experiences, expertise, talents and commitments to their specific roles. Their contributions to the strategic oversight of the club have made a lasting impact towards ensuring the club is able to support community needs for many years to come.

The Board is responsible for

determining the mission and purposes of CSL
selecting and evaluating the performance of the Board members and staff
strategic and organizational planning
ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management
fundraising and resource development
approving and monitoring CSL’s programs and services
enhancing CSL’s public image
assessing its own performance as the governing body of CSL

To be qualified for nomination, candidates for any position must complete an application and interview process. Any Board member may nominate a qualified candidate for any vacant position.
The interview process shall include at least two (2) members of the Board. The interview process shall include a KidSafe/Risk Management review, reference checks, social media review, and questions pertaining to their performance history in like positions and other clubs. The Board shall review and consider every nominee’s qualification for the proposed position on the CSL Board.
