What is our Advanced soccer program?
The advanced soccer program was created as an alternative for players who want to remain in recreational soccer but play at a higher level of competition. CSL advanced teams compete in the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League (TASL) and play other advanced teams from soccer programs in the local area and play on average 8 Saturday games. Advanced soccer provides a player a good first competitive challenge and provides the player the opportunity to develop his/her soccer skills. Advanced soccer can serve as a stepping-stone for players to achieve the skills and understanding of the game necessary to play at the travel/select level.
Tryouts for Fall 2018/ Spring 2019 have taken place.
Supplemental Tryouts or placement on teams often happens due to attrition during the year
Age Divisions eligible for Fall 2018/Spring 2019, Birth Year 2000-2010
For questions contact our Advanced Commissioner at [email protected] with the following information:
Churchland Soccer League is a member club of the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League, Incorporated (TASL). TASL clubs compete against other clubs from the Tidewater area (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk) and teams from Northeast North Carolina. TASL has it's own website where schedules and TASL league information will be posted. Teams Coaches, Managers and Parents should use the TASL website for up-to-date information for your Advanced team. CSL will continue to post information on our website for our Advanced teams but the most up-to-date information for schedules and other TASL specific games will be on the TASL Website.
