The CSL Advanced program is designed for players who want to stay in recreational soccer while competing at a higher level.

League: Teams compete in the Tidewater Advanced Soccer League (TASL).

Games: About 8 games each season, typically on Saturdays.

Locations: Games are held across the Tidewater area. Depending on division, the farthest locations may include Elizabeth City, Currituck County or Williamsburg.

Player Development: Advanced soccer offers players their first competitive challenge and helps them develop skills and game understanding needed to move toward Travel/Select play.
Season & Training

Commitment: Advanced teams ages U9 to U13 are selected for a full soccer year (Fall & Spring). Advanced teams ages U14 to U19 are seasonally selected based on team and league registration.

Practices: Two 90-minute sessions per week.

Fall Season: Begins after Labor Day, ends before Thanksgiving (no games on Columbus Day weekend).

Spring Season: Begins mid-March, ends before Memorial Day (no games on Easter weekend).
Player Expectations
Players chosen through our Evaluation process are expected to:

Abide by the CSL Player Code of Conduct.
Abide by the U.S. Soccer Referee Abuse Prevention Policy.
Attend all scheduled practices and games.

Participate fully as members of a CSL team and its supplemental programs.

Cover all associated costs, which may include:

Registration Fee: which includes a non-refundable deposit, fee for 1 season (U14-U19) or full year (2 seasons; U9-U13)
Official CSL uniform: Advanced players order uniforms directly from the vendor (include link)

Outside tournaments (as scheduled)
